Freehold Township High School Genesis: A New Era in Student Services

As the Freehold Township High School community welcomes its new Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, Mrs. Klim, we are reminded that leadership is not just about titles or positions, but about the impact one can have on the lives of students and educators alike. With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mrs. Klim brings a unique perspective to her new role, blending her expertise in mental health with her passion for education.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Klim has demonstrated a commitment to optimizing opportunities for students in their community. Her extensive background in pupil personnel services and child study teams has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to support classrooms and ensure access and equity for all learners. As a founding member of the Monmouth County Schools Partnership for Wellness (MCSPW), Mrs. Klim has played a key role in promoting wellness and mental health initiatives throughout the county.

Mrs. Klim's leadership journey began as a Supervisor of Child Study Teams and Related Services in Pemberton, where she honed her skills in administrative roles. She then transitioned to the Freehold Township School District as the Director of Educational Services, before moving on to become the Director of Pupil Personnel Services in Shamong.

Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Klim has served in various leadership positions at the county and state level, including as an Anti-bullying Specialist and co-leader of Campaign Connect initiatives in East Windsor. Her focus on student voice and agency is evident in all aspects of her work, ensuring that every learner feels heard and empowered.

As a mental health advocate, Mrs. Klim has worked with DCP&P contracted programs as a Supervisor and opened the Middlesex CMO under Perform Care. Her roots in mental health began over 20 years ago as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, earning her Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and Master's degree from Fordham University.

As we welcome Mrs. Klim to our Freehold Township High School community, we are excited to see the impact she will have on our students and staff. With her wealth of experience and expertise, she is poised to lead our student services department with compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding of the needs of our students. Join us in welcoming Mrs. Klim as she begins her 11th year of administrative leadership on January 3, 2023.
